Our Work

Core Philosophy:

“Help One, Help Many” – Starting with individual stories of need, the Foundation develops scalable solutions that can impact entire communities and regions. Each project begins with human connection and ends with systemic change.

Project Daniel:

  • Project Daniel was born out of a news story about an 11-year-old double amputee living in one of the most dangerous war zones in the world. Mick saw the absurdity of what was happening in South Sudan and had to find a way to help Daniel. The Foundation has been instrumental in helping Daniel and two other young boys escape the active war zone to refugee camps and ultimately, a better life in Kenya.

Not Impossible Institute:

  • Through Not Impossible Institute, we empower teams and organizations through mindset shifts and instill the capability to reframe barriers as opportunities and turn bold ideas into impact. We facilitate workshops and immersive experiences to transform inspiration into action, emboldening teams and organizations to envision and create new possibilities as a practice that drives growth, imagination, and radical collaboration.

Music Not Impossible:

  • Music: Not Impossible was created as a way to promote music equality and for the Deaf & hard of hearing community to experience music. Today, M:NI is on the verge of revolutionizing the way all people will experience sound by using a multi-sensory approach to transform audio into a unique, immersive full-body experience.

Accessibility & Innovation Fund

Launching early 2026:

  • Through My Eyes: Our engaging social media series using the Not Impossible soundbar and Justin Bishop’s guidance to highlight blind skateboarders’ experiences who push boundaries and redefine what’s possible for adaptive athletes. Follow along on our social media channels.
  • Access: Not Impossible:  An initiative developing tactile braille maps to improve safe, accessible navigation in public spaces. This initiative is starting with making public bathrooms easier to navigate, with the intent to expand into other environments where tactile information is essential.

Prior work:

  • Eyewriter: Inspired by the story of graffiti artist, TEMPT1, who was diagnosed with ALS, the EyeWriter enabled TEMPT1 and others to regain their creative expression and connection with the world.

Community Partnerships:

  • We believe lasting change is built alongside the communities closest to the challenges—by listening first, showing up consistently, and supporting organizations already doing critical work on the ground.
  • Through our community partnerships, we collaborate with trusted local organizations to provide creative, technical, and hands-on support that strengthens their mission and expands their reach.
  • One of our closest partners is Safe Place for Youth (SPY), a nonprofit organization based in our own backyard that provides essential services, housing support, and advocacy for young people experiencing homelessness. By supporting SPY, we invest directly in the wellbeing of unhoused youth in our community.
  • Rooted in the belief that helping one can help many, our community partnerships reflect our commitment to meeting people where they are and building solutions together—locally and beyond.
